Hey everyone thanks for finding my blog! My name is Daniel Faas and I am a historian and teacher of US and World History as well as current events. My goal with this blog is to explore issues of history and its context in the modern world. We have all heard the classic line “If we do not remember history we are doomed to repeat it.” While there is truth to this old quote I believe it is far more accurate to say that if we don’t understand history we are doomed to not understand the present. The modern world is inexorably linked to the events of the past both recent and ancient which is why it is so vitally important to understand those who have gone before us.
